Kohinoor Pulp & Paper (P) Ltd:
The demand for paper is steadily rising and meeting this requirement is a major challenge to the Indian pulp and paper sector. Kohinoor Pulp & Paper is going to contribute the nation to meet the rising demand of quality virgin bamboo pulp which is the best raw material for producing better quality paper. KPPL has taken off this project to develop a 2,00,000 tons per annum pulp & paper manufacturing plant after signing an MOU with the Government of Assam along with a chemical recovery plant and a captive power plant on about 200 acres of land at Goalpara. The unit would also focus on contract farming cum planned forestry.
The installation process being in the full swing, the project is intended to develop a 300 TPD Integrated Pulp & Paper Mill based on bamboo as Raw Material to manufacture various kinds of writing and printing papers. The commercial production of KPPL is expected to start by 2013.
